“Having Rachel at my birth was more than a blessing, I needed her! I had double and triple-peaking contractions that were becoming unbearable. She was able to do counter pressure, and show my husband how to do it at just the right spot to take the pain away. As my labor got longer, of course the hospital staff would ask about breaking my water and other interventions. I felt so inadequate to make those decisions and Rachel helped me think through it and made me feel more confident in what I should do. Whenever I felt panicked she was able to calm me, whenever I felt like the pain was unbearable her encouragement and techniques helped me through it so that I was able to push out my beautiful baby boy.”

“Rachel Stacy was my daughter’s doula and we were so thankful to have her support. As a mom, I tend to get anxious when my daughter is in labor, so Rachel’s calm and reassuring demeanor was very much needed. She was so good at being thoughtful and sharing her expertise without being overbearing. She was also very skilled at being the bridge between the medical staff and my daughter’s needs. Honestly, we did not know how much we would need Rachel there! When baby was born, he was rushed to the special care nursery due to breathing problems and the medical staff was certain he would be heading to the nicu. Within the hour he was fine - thank God!
